Listen to the silent whispers of the river flowing within you. Let the water go where it’s meant to. And in the warmth of the sun’s light, find the same quiet certainty the river carries within its flow.

I create sculpture and installation to give form to the subtle conversations between matter, light and space. I pursue elegance through the clarity and simplicity of forms.

I connect elements in the space around me. I create paths and new situations, providing access and perspectives not explored before.

Space and context are always crucial in my creative practice. The work of art is the product of a conversation between the creative mind and a site. It evolves through a dialogue with its surroundings, highlighting, complementing, but also making a statement on its own.

Persistence

Balance. A spot on the finest of lines. Who owns it? And what lies at the two ends of the spectrum? Through my work, I place the viewer in the position of confronting this great dilemma of the unknown – the experience of dichotomy and the thrill of knowing that what is at stake lies between salvation and destruction.

Fall

I cut, I deconstruct, I dismantle. I never destroy. Unless each form is regarded as an assembly of elements, understanding is impossible. And oh! When these elements find their place again in a new unity, a meaningful experience unfolds.

Passage

In this work, I explore the transitional capacity of art, as described by psychologist Donald Winnicott, through the process of construction–deconstruction–reconstruction. It is a process of evolution, of improvement, of healing. It is the process of life.

What used to be a cage – a space made for confinement and restriction – is ripped apart and reconstructed into a space that is open and moving; a gate toward liberation and uplift.

Drawing the human figure

I draw lines. I create to explore relationships, to link the elements of the world, to find the connections between the tangible and the intangible inside me and around me.
